Lleoliad
Located on a quiet side street in the centre of Conwy's medieval, walled town, within walking distance to all its amenities and attractions. This World Heritage town is the ideal base to get together and to discover the delights of the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park.
Explore Conwy Castle, an imposing 13th century castle with picturesque views across the coastline and a number of other historical buildings including Plas Mawr, the best surviving Elizabethan townhouse in the country, next door to your cottage. Stroll down to the Marina for a scenic boat ride or head to Conwy Morfa Beach (1.2 mile) / Deganwy Morfa Beach (1.5 mile) for relaxing days out.
Enjoy the wide range of cafes, delis, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, including Amelies Restaurant, Watson's Bistro and Signatures Restaurant. For groceries, Spar is within walking distance whilst Tesco and Asda are both within 1.5 miles at Llandudno Junction.
The vibrant seaside resort of Llandudno (4.5 miles) also offers an excellent range of attractions, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is also home to the longest pier in Wales and a popular Promenade, two beaches, Venue Cymru theatre, the Great Orme with its ski slope, cable cars, tramway and ancient mine.
Some of the other major attractions nearby include Bodnant Gardens and Welsh Mountain Conservation Zoo (both 5.5 miles), Surf Snowdonia (7 miles), Zip World and Betws y Coed (16 miles), one of Snowdonia's main hubs.
Beaches
- Conwy Morfa Beach - wide sandy beach with great views, which is also allows dogs. 1.2 miles
- Deganwy Morfa Beach - sand and shingle, scenic beach bordering the estuary of the Conwy. Backed by short promenade and cycle path leading to Llandudno's West Shore beach. 1.5 miles
- North Shore Beach - Llandudno's main beach - a fantastic scenic beach that offers beautiful leisurely strolls along the promenade to a fun filled day for all the family - 3.5 miles
Walking
- Wales Coast Path - join the path from the doorstep, west towards Penmaenmawr and north towards Llandudno. 0.1 mile.
- Carneddau (Snowdonia mountain walks) - Challenging walks, including the 2nd and 3rd highest peaks in Wales. The nearest peak is Tal y Fan. The nearest starting point is Sychnant Pass - 1.9 miles
- Pensychnant Conservation Centre - peaceful countryside walks amongst flora and fauna. 2 miles
- Great Orme - A series of walks of varying lengths up to and around the Great Orme summit - 4.5 miles
Cycling
- Wales Coastal Path - perfect for cycling and even better, you can hire bikes (and trailers) from Llandudno. A great way to see North Wales' stunning coastline. 0.1 mile
- Penmachno Trail - This 18 mile trail takes you through the scenic countryside of the Conwy Valleys. 21.5 miles
Golf
- Conwy Golf Club - This is the 7th Best Golf Course ranked in the top 100 best courses in the world. Complete with clubhouse and restaurant on site. 1.1 miles.
- Maesdu Golf Club - 3.5 miles
- North Wales Golf Club - 3.7 miles
Fishing
- Conwy Harbour Sea Fishing - a great fishing location, especially an hour after high tide. Start by the Signal Box and follow the ebbing tide towards the mouth of the estuary. 0.2 mile
- Conwy Water Gardens - Here you will find 3 coarse fishing lakes surrounded by beautiful woodland of North Wales. Tackle shop, snack shop and restaurant conveniently based on site and also offers disabled access. 3.7 miles.
Watersports
- Parc Eirias Swimming Pool - Indoor facilities include six lane 25 metres swimming / leisure pool with various water features and a separate water slide. 6.5 miles
- Colwyn Bay Watersports, Porth Eirias - tuition in sailing, windsurfing and power-boating & hire of sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and SUP kit. 6.8 miles
