O fewn pellter cerdded 5 munud i’r pentref a’r traeth, mae’n lleoliad delfrydol ar gyfer archwilio’r gornel hyfryd hon o Gymru gyda’i rhwydwaith o lwybrau cerdded gwledig ac arfordirol, ei thraethau a’i childraethau tywodlyd braf.

Llawr Gwaelod

Saif bwthyn Gwelfryn ei hun uwchlaw’r pentref ar begwn Pen Llyn sydd wedi ei phenodi yn ardal o harddwch naturiol eithriadol. Ceir ffenestr grom yn yr ystafell fyw gyda golygfeydd hyfryd o gefn gwlad. Mae teledu, chwaraewr fideo a DVD ar gael. Mae’r gegin yn cynnwys oergell / rhewgell, microdon, golchwr llestri, peiriant golchi dillad a’r holl gyfarpar arall sydd ei angen ar gyfer gwyliau hunanarlwyo.

Lleoliad

From Gwelfryn holiday cottage Aberdaron beach and all the amenities of this idyllic coastal village (cafes, 2 pub restaurants, tea room, thatched roof bakery etc) are all within a 5 minute walk. Llyn Peninsula is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and Gwelfryn cottage offers an ideal base to explore its network of footpaths and coastal walks, fine sandy beaches and coves.

Boat trips are available from Aberdaron to Bardsey Island, a former site of religious pilgrimage, now a National Nature Reserve. There are numerous activities in the area including fishing, horse-riding, golf and Glasfryn Parc where you can enjoy go-karting, ten-pin bowling, archery etc. Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, a magnificent Manor with galleries, beautiful gardens and tea room with sea views is well worth a visit, whilst Ffestiniog Railway, castles and the Italian village of Portmeirion are all nearby.

The Llyn Peninsula, where the Welsh language and way of life still flourish, is renowned for its beautiful beaches and water sport. With nearly 100 miles of stunning coastline, an array of hills of varying height inland plus the majestic mountains of Snowdonia on your doorstep, it's also a great place to come for a walking holiday.

Abersoch beach offers flat water for wakeboarding and waterskiing, sailing, power boating and windsurfing. 11 miles

Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) is a very popular venue for surfers and body boarders. 12 miles

Walking

Llyn Coastal Path - 84 miles around the Llyn Peninsula, from Caernarfon to Porthmadog. Join the path 0.5 mile from the cottage.

Yr Eifl (The Rivals) - Mountain range including the highest point on the Llyn Peninsula. 4.5 miles in length. 17 miles from cottage.
